Hey Majic 105.9, This is Lynda Houghton, I have volunteered to be the Marshes of Glynn Girl Scout Public Relations Liaison for the 2016-2017 year. Is there a way to announce as a public service announcement that the Marshes of Glynn Service Unit (Glynn, Brantley and McIntosh counties) will be holding a Girl Scout Recruitment event on Saturday, August 27 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds. National membership dues are only $15 per person. Other registration events are: Monday, August 22 at 6:00 pm St. Simons Elementary Cafeteria Tuesday, August 23, at 6:00 pm C.B. Greer Elementary Cafeteria Saturday, August 27 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Exchange Club Fairgrounds. Monday, August 29, at 6:00 pm Oglethorpe Elementary Cafeteria Who are Girl Scouts? Daisy K-1 grades Brownie 2-3 grades Junior 4-5 grades Cadette 6-8 grades Senior 9-10 grades Ambassador 11-12 grades It would be wonderful if you could possibly mention that the registration event at the Fairgrounds on Saturday. Troops will be setting up booths to introduce the girls to what Girl Scouting is all about, and allow the public to see what great work the Girl Scouts do to promote sisterhood in the lives of these young girls in our community.
