Celebrating his 15th year, seen Off-Broadway in two critically-acclaimed productions, on five continents, in 23 countries from Zimbabwe to Nepal, across 18 U.S. states, Mr. Rand brings to life – acclaimed Broadway director Harold Clurman, co-founder of the famed Group Theatre –considered “the most influential figure in the history of the American Theatre.”
Mr. Rand has also been invited to teach his acclaimed “Art of Transformation” Master Acting Workshop, sharing Constantin Stanislavsky’s “Method of Physical Actions” Chart, which Stanislavsky created in the mid-1930’s, and gave personally to Stella Adler. Mr. Rand was trained by Stella Adler for five years, and Harold Clurman. He will be teaching his Master Acting classes for students from the Brunswick community’s schools and colleges, as well for acting members of the Brunswick Actors Theatre.
RONALD RAND, recently performed and taught across Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Ipoh, Alor Setar, Petaling Jaya, and Kuala Terengganu.
Before arriving in Malaysia, RONALD RAND toured India on his fourth International Tour with “LET IT BE ART!” performing and teaching across the country in Bangalore, Mysore, Auroville, New Delhi and Jaipur.
Over the past five years, RONALD RAND has performed across India in New Delhi, Calcutta, Auroville, Mumbai, Pondicherry, Kerala, and Thissur.
According to Mr. Rand, “I travel to these countries in friendship and peace, sharing what I have learned and together we learn from one another. We find out how much we have in common. No language is a barrier to true sharing between people, and the passion and ideas of Harold Clurman. speak to the hearts and souls of everyone, no matter the difference in culture and background. My work is dedicated to healing, to revealing our humanity, the human-ness of our fragile planet, and that together we can discover through theater and art how we can live together in peace and friendship. Theater is all about healing and communication. It’s humbling to see those at my performances and in my workshops from ages 8 to 88, coming with such a deep desire for growth, peace, and good will. In every one of the 23 countries I have performed and taught in, we always have a deep sharing of compassion, love, and learning together.”

RONALD RAND U.S. Goodwill Cultural Ambassador/Fulbright Specialist
Mr. Rand was fortunate to study personally with Harold Clurman as a young acting student right out of high school, and at the same time with Stella Adler and the great Polish director, Jerzy Grotowski. Beginning his career at the age of five, he appeared in over 350 plays with a professional children’s theater in Florida. Upon his arrival in New York City, he soon made his Off-Broadway debut in “Julius Caesar” at BAM opposite Richard Dreyfuss, followed by numerous performances Off-Broadway, including Beckett’s “Endgame” at La MaMa directed by Joseph Chaikin, and “Perfect Crime.” He has toured across Europe as the Fool in “King Lear.” Mr. Rand appeared in over 250 films & TV shows including opposite Sean Connery and Dustin Hoffman in “Family Business,” Christopher Plummer in “O’Keefe & Stieglitz,” Ralph Fiennes in “Quiz Show” directed by Robert Redford, Kevin Kline in “In and Out,” Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder in “Another You”, Angelica Huston in “When in Rome,” Yoko Ono in “Homeless,” and as President Nixon in “Rude Awakening.”
An acclaimed international director, RONALD RAND’s current hit production of “LUV” continues to delight audiences in its 2nd year at Sarajevo’s Chamber Theatre 55, starring Zana Marjanovic, star of Angelina Jolie’s film, “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” Moamer Kasumovic and Mohamed Hadzovic. The production continues to play in Sarajevo and has traveled across Bosnia, Slovenia and Montenegro to sold-out houses, receiving awards at several festivals.
RONALD RAND is also the Founder & Publisher of the only newspaper in America dedicated to the art and craft of theatre and all the arts, “The Soul of the American Actor,” the best-selling author of “Acting Teachers of America” (which includes interviews with Sidney Poitier, James Gandolfini, Gene Hackman, Edward Norton, and Olympia Dukakis).

HAROLD CLURMAN was considered the “most influential theatrical figure in the history of the American Theatre." The inspiring voice of an entire generation, he was the co-founder of the famed Group Theatre of the 1930's with Lee Strasberg and Cheryl Crawford, considered the most significant ensemble art theatre in the history of the American theatre. Mr. Clurman was the award-winning director of over 40 of the most important plays of the 20th century, including the original productions of “A Member of the Wedding” with Julie Harris & Ethel Waters, “Bus Stop” with Kim Stanley, “A Touch of the Poet” with Helen Hayes and Kim Stanley, “Awake and Sing” and “Golden Boy,” “The Dance of the Toreadors” with Ralph Richardson, “Tiger at the Gates” with Michael Redgrave, and “Uncle Vanya” with Joseph Wiseman. He also directed Marlon Brando in “Truckline Café,” “Montserrat” at Israel's Habimah Theatre, “Long Day's Journey into Night” with Roy Scheider in Tokyo, and “The Iceman Cometh” at Japan's Kumo Theatre Company. Women’s Health Fair To Be Hosted By
Golden Isles Christian Church
Golden Isles Christian Church is very pleased to host a Women’s Health Fair, Mother’s Day Weekend, Friday May 10 and Saturday, May 11, at 1940 Old Jesup Road, Brunswick, Georgia.
Presented in cooperation with Southeast Georgia Health System, the American Red Cross and other outstanding local organizations the health fair will offer free health screenings to women from throughout the Golden Isles.
Ms. Lavertia Johnson, speaking on behalf of the church, noted that they “wanted to honor all women, young and old, with this Mother’s Day Weekend event, and emphasize how important their health is to us and their families. We are very thankful for the support we’ve received from so many wonderful people, businesses and organizations!”
On Friday, May 10, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., the Southeast Georgia Health System Wellness On Wheels vehicle (WOW Mobile) will offer free mammograms and from 5:00-7:00 p.m. BMI’s, blood pressure and glucose checks.
Additionally, women can take meet with Wellman Chiropractic, receive a relaxing chair massage, take a self-defense class taught by Mary McCleary and much, much more, including a food truck with delicious food and cold beverages..
On Saturday, May 11 from 11:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. the American Red Cross blood mobile will on site and all Friday events will again be available.
