I like the no dj approach. I like like mix if songs not heard on commercial radio. You are playing amazing stuff. This is ground breaking radio. I think a dj will bring to much of thier own personality and turn it into another college type station

Great music. The way FM used to be.
Please hang in there.

Thursday morning you played what sounded like a song with Fish (Marillion) singing. What was it?
Thanks. Gary.

To Connecticut's best radio station - can you play an inspiring song (you pick it) for Connecticut's own Emily Sweeney? I'm hoping she can win the Gold in the Luge at Winter Olympics!

amazing playlist(s). outstanding range of genres, artists, covers, eras. absolutely my first choice in radio. the eclectic mix is the primary station strength.regrettably broadcast range is limited to maybe 5-10 miles? i second paul pellegrino's 1/26/17 post above re: i strongly urge station resist having dj/host. i appreciate the effort made by their occasional host yet find program strays from brilliant, non-stop playlists into a chatty 'here's what i'm going to play for you next plus a little background to the artist' format. pace suffers greatly. my opinion, anyway.

How can I find a playlist
By: Lisa Gibbons on November 13, 2019
I just found the station about 3 months ago. It is such a change from everyday radio. This is a station for true music lovers. The mix is great! I am listening in Somers, Ct.1/5/2020

Thank you for the comments. I'm the guy who selects, collects, edits, and places the songs in the library. I'm also the one who programs the play. I'm also on the air several times a week. Due to the way I programmed the station, DJ's aren't necessary. There's only three of us who have time on the air. The reason I do it is three-fold: 1.) The primary purpose of/for the station is as a back-up emergency communication to the general public. By getting on-air, I can be more effective when an area-wide emergency occurs (i.e. I get to practice); 2.) It offers a time that people can call in requests; and 3) I enjoy doing it. Speaking for Tommy G and KD, they do it for the latter two reasons. No one receives any pay or compensation for their time or expenses. We are not a professional station, or professional broadcasters, just 3 guys who enjoy great music.
FYI - if you're not aware of it, you can stream us at: Simsburyfire.org and tunein.com - which means you can hear us most anywhere on God's green earth.
Additionally, you should know that this is not a website we monitor. I happened upon iy by chance, but will not closely mpnitor it in the future - inly so many hours in the fay!
hanks for listening, spread the word, please.

We love the music you play. You played a song this morning, 1/14/2021 at 6:52 AM, and we're wondering the name of it.
We heard it on the mini series called 'The Outsiders'. Would you please let us know the song name and artist?
