The Kentucky Women Veterans Program is having a Women Veterans Meet and Greet event on Saturday, August 18, 2012. It will be held in Lexington, KY from 10 to 2 p.m. at the National College – Lexington, KY, 2376 Sir Barton Way, Lexington, 40509.
The mission of the Kentucky Women Veterans Program is to ensure that Kentucky's women veterans have equitable access to federal and state veterans' services and benefits. Our goal is to create a strong network of women veterans in Kentucky.
The Meet and Greet will be an opportunity for all women veterans to find out about the organizations that support women veterans and to meet the people involved in that support. In addition, women veterans will learn at first hand the resources available to them and their families. Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to meet other women veterans, and join and expand support networks.
This is where your company can help us by donating goods and services for the Kentucky Women Veterans Meet and Greet. These donations will be used as Door Prizes for the veterans attending the event.
No service or goods will be sold at this event, everything is FREE. If you are interested in donating door prizes and/or free services to this Women Veterans event please call or email me at 502-595-4447, robins.jones@ky.gov or 859-281-3983, carol.livingston@ky.gov .

WRFL is the most unique radio station in Lexington, and dare say, Kentucky. The student managed, community supported radio station offers the largest variety of music that the area has to offer. Hosting and training DJs new to the radio waves is what WRFL is about, and each DJ works hard to make their show interesting and unique all their own. Their dedication to independently sourced content makes their (typically) 2 hour block programming wildly different from one show to another, and prior to COVID-19 they have been live 24/7 with a person in the studio since 1988. WRFL is truly a gem in the Lexington and radio community.
