I was listening to your station while driving thru Oglebay looking at the lights & on Sunday night, 12-11-11 at 7PM you played a guitar instrumental of I believe Silent Night, it was beautiful. I had never heard it before & wondered if you could let me know who the artist was. Also, I was still listening at 8 PM on Sunday night, 12-11-11 & you played Bing Crosby singing "Santa Claus is coming tonight", it was the best rendition I have ever heard & wondered if you could also give me info about that one, ie: when it was recorded, an album it was from, etc.
What I liked about listening to your radio station playing Christmas music is I did not hear the same artist once nor did I hear the same artist singing the same song!
Thank you for your service! I really appreciated listening.
Merry Christmas!

REQUEST FOR COVERAGE - U.S. COAST GUARD AUXILIARY OPERATIONS AT WHEELING. WV REGATTA, 2019
EVENT: Wheeling, WV Regatta, 2019
DATES: August 31st and September 1st
TIMES: Starting at 9 am to pm August 31st (Saturday) and September 1st (Sunday)
WHERE: Heritage Port, just south of the Wheeling Suspension Bridge on the Ohio River. (Access by car at 12 th and Water Street)
WHAT: Civilian volunteers for the United States Coast Guard always help to increase public awareness and aquatic safety at this recreational destination for both tourists and residents. In support of United States Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit (MSU) -- Pittsburgh, the locally-based Auxiliary Division 7 will conduct community outreach and perform Vessel Safety Checks (VSCs) at the Wheeling Regatta during the last weekend of August. The Auxiliary will be doing free, courtesy VSCs beginning at 9 am on Saturday and Sunday and establishing operation perimeters at the event.
BACKGROUND: The Vessel Safety Check program helps boaters achieve voluntary compliance with Federal and state recreational boating safety laws, particularly regarding the carriage of safety equipment. It also raises boaters’ awareness of safety issues through one-on-one contact by the Auxiliary's volunteer vessel examiners. With this knowledge, it is hoped that recreational boaters will become more involved in maintaining and operating their vessels in a responsible manner, taking safety courses to increase their learning and skills in boating, and promoting safe boating practices to others.
PLEASE NOTE: Vessel Safety Checks are generally performed on recreational boats under 65 feet long. VSC requirements parallel Federal and individual state regulations regarding equipment and safety conditions of the vessel. A VSC is not a law enforcement action. No official report is made to any law enforcement authority. A Vessel Safety Check is performed only with the consent of the owner or operator, who must be present at the time of the examination.
The Coast Guard Auxiliary is the civilian volunteer component of the United States Coast Guard and assists the Service in nearly all of its missions, except for military operations and direct law enforcement actions.
U.S. COAST GUARD AUXILIARY CONTACT: For further information on the Coast Guard Auxiliary's Wheeling Regatta activities, contact Flotilla 7-8 Commander Tim Miller at tjmillertyme@yahoo.com.
