Good morning. I am writing from Fairfield, Ohio. I was driving a co-worker ( I will just call him D for now)down there so he could take his 2 girls to the Father Daughter Dance outside of Atlanta.. We got pulled over before we made it to get his girls. He had an old warrant so he was arrested on Feb. 7, 2020. He is in a city jail outside of Atlanta (I think, I know nothing about Georgia). I have been reading all over that states all over are letting inmates/prisoners go.. Well D, where he is they deny him an inhaler, he has severe asthma. He was hospitalized last year because of it! The heating and cooling system do not work making it hard for inmates to breath. My co-worker does not get his mail and Im guessing other inmates dont either! And from dates I have seen on my letters, and the days he told me wrote them, by looking at post marked date on envelope, officers-guards mail their letters when they damn well please! Their food is cooked at another county jail about 30 minutes away, who knows how long before they get transported to the city jail and then who knows how long it takes the officers-guards to actually givebthe inmates their food. Ive just been told they wouldn't even feed it to their dog if they had one! But with D having asthma he is in big trouble if he comes in contact in anyway with this virus taking over our world! So why hasnt he been released? He non violent... And has less than 2 years.. Who knows who handles the food at the other jail before it is transported by, well who knows again. And if they get commissary, that food has to be cooked with nasty SHOWER WATER! I have been in the lobby of this city jail and you will not wanna touch anything while your there, so it makes me wonder what are the conditions behind those doors!?! D is not a bad person! This man will stop at a drive thru for hot coffee and breakfast sandwiches then go hand them out to homeless that might be out and about early in the mornig.. He works his butt off 7 days a week and while doing his job he will help all co workers who need it when it gets hectic! And he was also in training to be a manager but when I told our GM that he wont be out till the end of June, he said he cant hold his job for him that long. I havent had the heart to tell D yet.. And D gets about $50 deposited to his paycheck card on Mondays because the rest goes to child support! He has 4 young kids and elderly parents outside of Atlanta! And the mail thing, that is 1 right they have! Im sure it is the only thing that keeps some prisoners/inmates going! So with all that said and if you would like to call any of my managers or co workers to back my story the number 513-874-3122, I am that confident they only have good things to say! Can somebody, anywhere help D or educate or help me so I can help D and others like him? Please... We never know from 1 day to the next! And I say this because on August 13, 2018 I found my long time boyfriend (of 10 years) in our driveway, passed away from a gun shot wound. The people dispatched that day said he had already passed and nothing they could do because he shot him self in the heart. And thats all i know cause when they got there i was takin into the house and when people talked they did it in a different room than where I was or outside.. One day when im ready to ask questions my kids can tell me or i can call.. I have to stop talking about this.. Im sorry.
Thank You for your time and listening,
Miss Heather
