Thursday, June 2nd SLCMEA Pop Choral/Stage Band Festival 3-9 pm
The Norwood Village Green Concert Series 43rd annual season opens Thursday, June 2nd with the annual St. Lawrence County Music Educators Association Pop Choral/Stage Band Festival. The Festival begins at 3:00 pm and will include 12 performing groups from Norwood-Norfolk, Hermon-DeKalb, Potsdam, Lisbon, Massena, Edwards/Knox and Canton School Districts.

Thursday, June 9th Tom Chapin 1pm for NNCS and 7 pm for the general public.
On Thursday, June 4th the Norwood Village Green Concert Series continues with 2 performances of 3 time Grammy Award recipient, Tom Chapin. The 1 pm performance will be for the NNCS students and the 7 pm performance will be for the general public.
In addition to his 3 Grammy’s Tom Chapin has also won an Emmy Award for his long-running ABC TV children’s show, Make a Wish, and a Peabody Award. He performs his own songs, and songs of his brother Harry Chapin.

Sunday, June 19h A double bill with American String Circus and Greg Cornell and the Cornell Brothers 6 pm
On Sunday, June 19th the Norwood Village Green Concert Series presents a double bill with American String Circus, a student band from SLU performing traditional string band music, and Greg Cornell and the Cornell Brothers, led by SLU alumnus Greg Cornell performing original compositions. The Cornell Brothers are a Brooklyn-based roots music quartet.

Thursday, June 23 Northern Symphonic Winds - 7 pm
On Thursday, June 23rd the Norwood Village Green Concert Series continues with a concert given by Northern Symphonic Winds. Northern New York’s only professional wind ensemble. Northern Symphonic Winds will perform music suitable to outdoor concerts. This will be the wind ensemble’s 10th appearance for the Norwood Village Green Concert Series.

Sunday, June 26th Michelle Dorrance and Dorrance Dance 6 pm
On Sunday, June 26th the Norwood Village Green Concert Series presents 2015 MacArthur Genius Award Fellow Michelle Dorrance and her Dorrance Dance company.
The Amazing and extraordinary choreographed and innovative tap dancing as performed by Michelle Dorrance has been recognized world-wide as the gold-standard of the genre. Michelle Dorrance will also be conducting an open rehearsal on the band shell at 3 pm.

Tuesday, July 5 The All Star Big Band with guest artist Sherri Maricle
On Tuesday, July 5th the Norwood Village Green Concert Series presents the All Star Big Band under the direction of Wally Siebel with guest artist Sherrie Maricle. Drummer, bandleader, composer/arranger, and educator, Sherrie Maricle has enjoyed a multi-faceted career that will both enhance this concert and her work with Crane Youth Music campers the next day.

Performing contemporary high octane Mexican fiddling, the group has been much awarded for its performances.
