WLVJ 1020 was previously known as WURN 1020. It is a relatively new station, first known as WAOP in November 1995. By the end of the year it became WRBF. By early 2001, it became WRHB -- running various Spanish language music and talk programming. By November 2008 it became WURN. When Radio Actualidad purchased WLVJ 1040 from the soon to be bankrupt James Crystal Radio, 1020 began using the WLVJ call sign. WLVJ 1040 was once known as Family Values Radio, a local christian based talk format that was moved from 640 WLVJ, during the time that James Crystal Radio owned both WYFX 1040 and 640 WLVJ and flipped the frequencies, formats, and call signs. WLVJ 1020 is dark/off the air of January 2017.
