This station is one of many accross the nation, operating as publicly owned entities, yet denying access to broadcast time to anyone who is not hard right wing, as pertains to political shows.
Devon O'Day is their "kindler, gentler" talk host giving women one 24th of the day (do women make up on twenty-fourth of the population in Nashville?) yet she toes the rightwing line. Recently the station aired inflammatory promos in which a host was heard to say "Progressives Must Die, Shoot Nancy Pelosi" which are blatant terroristic incitements.
That morning, after the host's promos aired, there was a shooting at Virginia Tech. O'Day tried to act sympathetic (with her partner, they sound like some cheesy, breathy pair from a Saturday Night Live skit- embarrassing to women everywhere.)
But O'Day is slick. She claimed some "sympathy" for the victims of the Va. Tech shooting and the staff and students, yet very deftly shifted the focus to the woman in TX who shot her kids and killed herself. It was classic deflection and propaganda all in one.
O'Day has been prepped well by her FOX handlers. Using keywords like "entitlement" and "politicially correct" she made it seem as if those "g-darn liberals" are responsible for all murders, gosh darn it. It was a spectacular CYA moment by 1510AM WLAC, except that someone might remind O'Day (who looks well fed) that to hungry people, food stamps are not just some "fanciful liberal idea" but they mean "bread for your hungry children." Being a Rightwing Christian, though, she surely can't be expected to understand concepts like hunger or poverty or desperation. No siree, Jesus never talked about feeding the hungry, visiting the sick, visiting those in prison, clothing the naked.
This station is a waste of time. Some day, the FCC will let liberals and Democrats back on the air. For now, rightwing bullies like Capstar LLC and their FOX affiliate, 1510AM WLAC, hog all the air that America owns. And then threaten those they bully with death, beheading and assassination.
Sick people at WLAC. Avoid it like the plague.

Laredo Swift is a moonbat member of democratunderground, an online forum that once called for the assassination of President Bush.
He has requested that members protest to the FCC about your station for allegedly hearing something they didn't like on air. Many members contacted the FCC stating they heard it, when they didn't. They were following a request by swift.

"The FCC will let liberals and Democrats back on the air". That's a loaded sentence if there ever were one. Democrats think that government has to let them do everything from wipe their own butt to spending money. This comment above is a perfect example of the liberal mindset yearning for utopia.

My husband called me and told me about the man trying to send Rand Paul a pizza(around 5:30) 3-6-2013. I called ALL the papa john's in the d.c. area and they all said they were making deliveries. Someone with all the details should call the owner of papa john's. I'll vouche for my phone calls.

Why was The Vanderbilt men’s game versus Winthrop not broadcast last night and why can you not pick up your station at night outside the Nashville area ? I live in Adams , Tennessee and all we get from your statio at night is static and garbled noise.

Your traffic news has been taken over by a nagging person who has decided she should give orders to drivers saying, "...just slow it down." Who made her traffic emperor? I don't like listening to nagging, especially from someone who thinks they have such good intentions. Just report the facts and keep your condescending nagging to yourself. We have adequate speed postings, electronic alert signs, and don't need a radio traffic mommy to tell us to "just slow it down."
