Amazing Grace Lutheran Church is hosting a food packaging event on Saturday Nov. 8th from 1-5 p.m. at the church at 1601 Jefferson Street in Paducah, KY.
These packaged meals include rice, soy, dried vegetables and a vitamin and mineral packet. Each meal packaged is then distributed both in the United States to the homeless people and also to third world countries who are hungry and very poor. Amazing Grace's goal is 7,200 meals. This is our first attempt at packaging these meals. Captive Free Volunteers will instruct on proper packaging and boxing of meals. Come share an afternoon of love, music and an all around fun event. Invest in our communities’ future one family at a time at Hope Unlimited Family Care Center’s annual Gala We Are Family is Tuesday, September 13 at the Julian Carroll Convention Center, in Paducah. The buffet dinner, catered by Walker Hall, begins at 6 PM. Who better than a brother-sister duo to drive home the family theme with laughter and a message of encouragement? The Love Chromosome’s (lovechromosome.com) comedians Derrick and Julie Tennant share how you can overcome hurdles in life. Derrick is partially paralyzed; and Julie has Downs Syndrome or, as she likes to say, an extra “love” chromosome.
Hope Unlimited Family Care Center is a non-profit organization supporting families and empowering parents and caregivers. All free and confidential services encourage families to move from surviving to thriving. Working as one center, although located on both sides of the Ohio River in Paducah, Kentucky and Metropolis, Illinois, Hope Unlimited Family Care Center provides a welcoming place for men and women by offering mentoring, prenatal health, sexual integrity and pregnancy options.
Hope Unlimited Family Care Center’s Gala is a complimentary event, but guests are invited to make a donation at the end of the evening. All gifts directly impact parents and caregivers, as well as their families. Donations can be tax deductible.
