Listener Comments and Reviews
Please take Megan Mcain off your programming. She is obsessed with drinking and quite often off color topics. Today she had a whole discussion on groping. I did like Joe Pags but I refuse to listen to this not funny or entertaining programming even though she obviously thinks she is the funniest thing on radio.

I just wanted to say that every time I hear that stupid commercial about covid (Jerome somebody I think) I change the channel. I don't want to hear that I am paying for a commercial about stuff that we have been talking about for 8 months. Sometime I turn it back to 970 and other times I don't. Any station that I hear on I turn before it even finishes.

So sad what has become of a once-proud radio station. I worked at 970 in Waynesboro when it was WANV, "The Big No. 1", back in the late 1970s. M. Robert Rogers owned the place, 4-tower directional running 5kw (1kw-N). Playing rock & roll from 6 to midnite. Those were the days.

I am the son of the late Robert Rogers. He took great pride in his famous (infamous?) editorials. After he died we built WANV-FM atop Bear Den Mountain to serve the Charlottesville VA area. When we sold the stations to to Clark Broadcasting, the AM was "The Big Country" and the FM was "Oldies 99.7"
I now live on the beaches of North CArolina. Is the AM station still on the air?
