Good morning,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to reach out and make your radio station aware that we have a big mass incarceration event coming up July, 29, 2019. I am one of four organizers and would be happy to send you a flyer to review. It’s our greatest hope that the community will come together to spread awareness on the issues surrounding mass incarceration because as you may know, Mississippi has the third highest incarceration rate in the country and its on the rise. All four organizers hosting this event are directly impacted by this broken system. My loved one is serving a life Without Parole sentence out of Madison County for a crime he committed as a a 15 year old child. Despite the United States Supreme Court ruling in 2012- making it unconstitutional to give a child under 18 a LWOP sentence, Mississippi refuses to care about the kids in Mississippi serving life without parole sentences. These children are now in there 30s and 40s and have no ray of hope. Another organizer, his twin brother arrested and held for 11 years without a trial in MS. He would still be there if it wasn't for his brother fighting every day for the injustice. The way we do this is in the form of a rally and also inviting candidates off the ballot, from Governor all the way down to the county sheriff, we have invited many to attend and they have been responsive and confirmed! We are inviting and endorsing only those who align with our platform. Praise God. This is going to be an important moment in the history of Mississippi criminal justice reform and I’ve been praying that we can find a way to capture the story by means of radio attention. We would like to invite you to come out and help us bring attention to this issue, that impacts 1 in 3 families in Mississippi.
If you have any questions about the event or details, please feel free to reach out to me.
Have a blessed day,
Cathy McOmber

The event will be in the area directly in front of the Rankin County courthouse and we are expecting hundreds in attendance. This event is to stand up for mass incarceration and criminal justice reform in Mississippi. Mississippi has the third highest incarceration rate in the country and its on the rise. All four organizers hosting this event are directly impacted by the system. My loved one is serving a life Without Parole sentence out of Madison County for a crime he committed as a a 15 year old child. The United States supreme court ruled it unconstitutional back in 2012, however Mississippi refuses to care about the kids in Mississippi serving life without parole sentences. They have no ray of hope. One of our organizers had his twin brother arrested and sat for 11 years without a trial in MS. If you take a good look at the flyer you can see some of the issues we are taking a stand against. The way we do this is in the form of a rally and also inviting candidates off the ballot, from Governor all the way down to the county sheriff, we have invited many to attend and they have been responsive. Praise God. This is going to be an important moment in the history of Mississippi criminal justice reform and I’ve been praying that we can find a way to capture the story by means of a video story. We would be forever grateful and definitely bring attention and recommendations to your company for those looking to hire a videographer for their events as well!

Hey
My company, MDB Behavioral Health is having a supply drive called Giving Hope for residents in long term care facilities during the pandemic. We hope to spread some hope to their daily lives of being on strict visitation schedules since March of 2020. Can you help me share this information? I have flyers and letters with information I can send to promote.
Thank you
