Relevant Radio WHKZ 1440 AM Radio Station Information

WHKZ is an AM radio station broadcasting at 1440 KHz. The station is licensed to Warren, OH. The station broadcasts Religious programming and goes by the name "Relevant Radio" on the air with the slogan "Talk Radio for Catholic Life". WHKZ is owned by Relevant Radio.

While listening to the Ursuline - Harding game this past Friday I was angered by a comment made by one of the announcers. The announcing team was very upset about penalty calls against Harding and one of the announcers commented that the referee must be very Youngstown alluding to the fact he was also had some sort of mob tie-in. Hometown announcers will always defend their team but the announcing was downright horrible in complaining about the penalty calls and then to make basically an ethnic slur against an official is simply ridiculous and uncalled for. I would hope that this is rectified for any future games by this announcing crew. Or perhaps replace them altogether.

Need better equip. Broadcasting local football games is coming out VERY muffled. not clear like it used to be.

Trying to tune into 1440 today, having a hard time finding the station, I’m using my GE Super radio, getting all kind of garbage music and sports talk, laying out in the sun today and wanted to listen to Faith Explained program at 12:30 pm usually able to tune in I live in WestView pa and can usually get the station tuned in somewhat
