I tried to email the Chiefs on their official site, but could not find how to do this. This complaint applies to the Royals as well. We heard last night that there were tickets available for residents of Jackson County for the upcoming game (probably all gone--that is not the issue). When the Royals had the big celebration at Union Station, Mayor Sly James was there. Guess what? Right next door are Johnson and Wyandotte Counties, Kansas. There are other Missouri counties in the metro area. Yet these people consistently are ignored by the two big sports teams. I dare say--given the economics of the area--that more people from Johnson County buy more expensive tickets than any other county in the area. That is not a big issue to me, but I would guess it is with management groups of these teams. My major point is this: why is there not some recognition that these teams represent a large metropolitan area and not just Kansas City, MO, proper? We all love the Chiefs and Royals. Yet, no mayors or other representatives of these other city and counties are recognized. Just saying...
