Hello friends of WFFG. I'm Juan Carlos, a teacher at Havana School of Medicine.I listen to the station here in Havana Cuba through AM. I enjoy your shows very much, specially those on the weekends. The reception is good mainly during the daytime hours, at nights the reception gets weak.
Say hello to all the staff and please let me know if you get this mail.

I am on Summerland key and for the last week or so I have been getting a echo on 3 different radios. Today 5/3/2016 the echo is lasting 3 seconds.

I can't imagine how your station stays in business. It is constantly airing dead air. (like right now). I think maybe its time for a new program director or maybe get a technician in there to find out why you keep dropping off the air. A couple of weeks ago I listened in amazement to your morning show brag about you never have dead air. Ha! What a joke! I've been listening to your station go dead for almost 10 years now and it happens EVERY DAY! Sometimes for HOURS!

ann o'bannon's sign off music is a dreadful moronic dirge, before she was hired did anyone check her music I.Q.?

I listen to your station in the morning while getting ready for the day. Especially "Imus in The Morning". My suggestion is to shorten the morning show with Ann O'Bannon to one hour and keep Imus on until 9AM. I do not think anyone listens to her anyway. Stop you weather for forecast immediately. They are totally incorrect. In fact they sound like a pod cast that keeps running over and over again. Today for example they are forecasting wind from the southeast at 5 miles per hour. Windfinder is calling for 20 to 25 MPH. Your forecast could be dangerous to a fisherman in a small boat who decides to go out after listening to your forecast and get himself in trouble with rough seas.

I have spent many winters in the Keys... and am now in the Everglades National Park... I always tune in to 1300 when I am here... I do like the additional time given to the Don Imas program.... My only complaint....... I keep my radio on all nite as I do not sleep well... It does annoy the heck out of me with the long periods of 'dead air'.. I feel it happens more often than it should... Thank you very much... GH

Are you aware your radio station is playing in the bkg. on
1300AM during the hours of 4 through 8 PM? Often times, your station makes it impossible to hear or understand what a commentator is saying on programs airing at that time on 1300 AM. Additionally, there is often just dead air.
So what can you do to fix these problems?????

I love your station HOWEVER there is often dead air. And now, for the past several days you have been playing music and not talk radio. What's going on??
By: Susan Rineer on April 14, 2018
What's going on, are youh staying with music? Sure do miss the talk show, radio classics

Hey, where has the talk radio gone? Really enjoy it, but only getting music now. Please bring back talk radio...

Lot of people complaining about not receiving WFFG 130p here in the Keys. Lot of repairs still going on with many station systems. I'm disappointed with not being able to listen to WFFG too. I n reference to the gentleman about marine reports aired on WFFG. Never, I say never use any weather information from any radio station. ONLY A fool would use that information. That's why we have NOAA and the USCG weather reports on your marine fm radio. Remember it is the law that you monitor channel 16 on your radio while operating a boat within USCG jurisdiction areas.

while working in radio it became apparent how important quick time fillers can be. This inspired me in 1998 to begin WEIRD, BIZARRE and UNUSUAL. Using the same format daily, each post contains one page with three 30-45 second well researched reads. I’ve also kept some 15-16,000 on file for instant use..
If you wish the opinions of others who use this material, I have a list of many ready to share.
Money is also not important. Now retired, research and writing is the love of my life.
Final point - Below you may read today’s page:
AN UNUSUAL PART-TIME JOB
After Andre Stander became head of the Criminal Investigation Department in Kempton, South Africa, he decided to use his insider knowledge to become a bank robber. Meaning he’d wear a disguise and rob a bank during his lunch break, then return that afternoon to lead the investigation. He robbed 30 banks before hiring an accomplice ...who turned him in. WELL PLANNED, WELL DONE
During a seven-hour hostage standoff bank robbery in Buenos Aires, Argentina, several hostages were traded for pizzas, while others talked with families on cell phones; all while the robbers loaded over 140 safe deposit boxes through a hole in the basement. This basement connected to a tunnel leading to a boat on the La Plata River; meaning, when police finally broke in, only hostages were found. SHOULD’VE TRIED SHOPLIFTING
Feeling lost after his wife died, 87 years old J. L. Hunter "Red" Rountree robbed a bank. Caught, he was given probation. Soon he robbed another, was caught and sentenced to 3 years in prison. After his release, Rountree tried not to rob another bank, but did. This sent him back to prison, where he died in 2004, at age 91.
