Does anyone at Leatherstocking listen to WFBL? If you did you would hear lots of dead air, lots of double ads playing over the top of each other, andbgenerally a horribly run operation. Its been going on for months so I figure you just dont know yet.

I drove through Syracuse a few weeks ago. Was total dead air on 1390. Just a carrier signal with no modulation. A real shame. I was one of the engineers who built the transmitter faculty on Wetzel Road in the late 80's when it was part of the WilksSchwarrtz group of stations with studios in Solvay, NY. WFBL studio was in same building as Classic Rock, Kix-FM 104.7 in Solvay. At that time it was a music of your life station with Dave Charles hosting the morning show. Unfortunately radio has changed a great deal since the late 80's- early 90's. Not easy to make a good business with AM stations anymore. Times and demographics have changed drastically.
