Billy Wise & Mountain Time “Live” at the Outpost Music Barn
Nashville “hit” songwriter Billy Wise and his bluegrass band Billy Wise & Mountain Time will be performing at the Outpost Music Barn, in Waco Ga., on Friday March 20th at 7pm. This will be the first performance for the band in Waco. Band leader Billy Wise and his wife Joan are the writers of the recent Number 1 bluegrass gospel hit by Ralph Stanley II & the Clinch Mountain Boys, entitled “Beautiful Hills of Home’. The song was the Number 4 song of the year 2019.
The 4-piece band has been touring throughout the South and Midwest featuring many bluegrass standards and songs from their bluegrass albums, “The Ghost of Chapel Hill” and their bluegrass gospel album, “John 3:16” on Mountain Time Records.
The band consists of Billy Wise – Guitar/Vocals, Shane Cothran – Banjo/Vocals, James Ray – Bass/Vocals and Kenneth Newell – Mandolin/Dobro/Vocals. Bluegrass fans especially enjoy Billy’s “cross picking” style of guitar playing. In the coming year they will be featured at many of the large bluegrass festivals throughout the US.
Just recently at the Station Inn in Nashville, Billy Wise joined Ralph Stanley II & the Clinch Mountain Boys on stage singing a Stanley Brothers standard.
