I haven't listened to a.m. in years. I just tonight found your station. I love it. BJ Thomas, B. Crosby, Ray Charles, N. Diamond (and some females, too). It's NYEve. I love it! (your station).

can I make a request? One Tin Soldier (from movie Billy Jack). It's an anti-war, anti-prejudice song.
Good for the new year.

WEXY is a brokered (time buy) black gospel/religious talk station that sell airtime to churches to advertise their church and services. The MOYL "Music of Your Life" MOR/nostalgia format (not affiliated with MRBI, Inc) was only used to fill unsold airtime. The station recently sold their overnight airtime to a black religious talk host and stopped airing the nationally syndicated MOYL. The only other local alternative for oldies/nostalgia/MOR in South Florida is True Oldies Florida at 95.9 in West Palm Beach. But that station was recently sold and will most likely drop it. But you can Google "scott shannon's true oldies channel" to listen to it's nationally syndicated programming on the internet. MOYL, like TOC does not take requests. Both are completely computer automated and voice tracked with no live DJs.

At one time, in the mid 70s, WEXY as known as WIXX, a country station known as "The Top Gun of Broward" and was co-owned with 105.9 WAXY (which is now WBGG Big 105.9). For a brief time the station's new owners tied Asian Sports programming, then Christian Spanish programming; it even ran specialty shows in Russian and middle eastern language programs--eventually abandoning their efforts to re-brand the station and returned to the brokered black religious format it ran since the early 80s.
