My name is Kimberly Lajzer - the founder of Art 4 a Purpose . Org - a Non-Profit set up to STOMP OUT CHILD ABUSE. We were just adopted to have a permanent Venue during the Months of JUNE every year @ the City of Morganton Municipal Auditorium. We are asking you to share this PA with your community. 3rd Artist Exhibition to STOMP OUT CHILD ABUSE - Reception June 28th from 5-7 pm. Hello I am writing to see if you can help or direct me to where I can get some help on promoting a charity fundraiser and the charity itself. Here is the story: Friends of Suzanne was founded in 2005 by Kathy Bailey Koltowski after learning that her friend and coworker was diagnosed with Stage IV Her2/Neu Breast Cancer. After 19 months of working with the IRS and providing the documentation required, 501c3 status was granted to Koltowski. Since that time, Koltowski relocated in 2011 to Kingsport to care for her mother, who was diagnosed with Dementia. In 2007 Koltowski began a program called Pay their Way, which has made over 1000 copayment for cancer patients undergoing Chemotherapy and Radiation treatment. These payments have all been made in New Jersey at Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center. Since she has relocated, it is her hopes to have this program started here in NE Tennessee. In October 2016 Koltowski started a Comfort Care Blessing Bag program and has delivered over 500 bags in both Tennessee and New Jersey. Her goal is to continue this monthly, and she is in need of donations as well as volunteers to help fill and deliver these bags. The organization has also worked with individual families helping raising funds needed. She has stated that there have been 3 families helped, with donations of over $25.000 each. Her passion, devotion and dedication to the patients, families and friends she has made along the way as well as the love for her friend Suzanne, that the organization was initially started for are the fuel to keep it going. This event on June 16th will be the 1st fundraiser in Tennessee. Her goal is to help raise awareness of the organization as well as to raise funds needed to continue and expand these programs. Partnering with several crafters and vendors from the area this event will both help with funding and awareness.
