This used to be an excellent Active Rock station.I used to listen to it all the time on my smartphone Then in 2011 when Cumulus bought Citadel they wrecked. They started playing fewer currents and eventually started including Alternative. Too bad, because this used to be an excellent station. If ypu want a really good Active Rock station, then I suggest you check out 95.9 The Hog.

Hi 97.9X, I listen to your station pretty much every day. It seems like very often either 2 commercials get played at the same time, or a commercial plays over a song at the same time. Like right now it's 9:24 am on Nov 1, and Free Beer is on commercial break, and that is happening. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Thanks!
