When and where: This Sunday, May 31st, 1 to 3pm at Centennial Park, Covered Pavilion across from Harborside Convention Center at Edwards Drive in Ft Myers, Florida. Parking available. As word breaks that a lawsuit against Hendry County has just been expanded to include Bioculture, a second secretly approved laboratory monkey breeding facility, the people of Southwest Florida are rising up to make their voices heard in opposition to this extremely controversial industry. Renowned singer/songwriter Robbyne Kaamil’s new song “Free the Monkeys” is an anthem to sound the alarm about the growing scandal in Hendry County! Southwest Florida citizens, homeowners and taxpayers will join together to sing this new anthem Sunday about what we believe is a threat to our region’s reputation, safety and property values. We believe Hendry County’s commissioners violated Florida’s Sunshine and zoning laws. They won’t answer even basic questions: How many monkeys? What’s the plan in case of escapes?
