This station was an active rock/modern rock format (with a classic rock mix) known as 93.5 The Bar, which flipped from regional Mexican in September 2014 and suffered from signal issues and low ratings. In January 2017, WBGF carried Scott Shannon's True Oldies Channel. In May 2017, JVC sold the station; WBGF dropped TOC and began carrying the new owner's Revolution 93.5, a locally produced techno-dance-rock format heard throughout South Florida in Broward and Dade Counties on a couple 93.5 FM translators. The TOC format of 93.5 WBGF is now heard on 95.9 The Palm, owned by JVC. But JVC sold 95.9/900 AM, so that station will probably get a new format as well with TOC having no South Florida outlet.
