Looking for a Mr. Vernon Bates, a truck driver who was my helping angel on 3/1/2014 at the grayhound bus depot in Chicago, Illinois @ 03:00. I was broke, just was robed by an employee of the I.D.O.C., Just served 22 years and was released 2/28/14, he bought me food and gave me his change. He needs to be recognized for his good work. Stephen Meyers, retired U.S. Army Soldier and veteran of the wars in Iraq (2005-2007) and Afghanistan (2013), will be walking through Dallas on 28 March 2020. His goal is to help those suffering in silence with PTSD. He brings with him emotional stories and interesting conversation.
Will you help him? He needs a safe place to sleep and shower. Options such as a fire house, church, or a local residence are preferred as they provide more opportunities to talk with people. Want to help your community? Organize a meal and invite people interested in PTSD. It is easier talking with someone who has been through similar experiences. It allows them to gloss over details others may need in order to understand the situation. Read Steve’s story.

Lived in ATL in the 90s, only made possible by WABE classical programming. So very saddened to find, upon moving back, that ATL no longer has ANY classical. Very sad. Perhaps Public Broadcasting should consider adding a station. It could be totally programmed, no announcer required - just public mental health.
