This is my complaint about KHZR. Radio. I live within a two mile circumference of the main broadcast tower located on the Northern outskirts of Potosi. My complaint is that the stations signal is completely outside the tolerance rate for adjacent channel interference. This has been happening for quite some time.
I have tracked the signal from this station throughout the FM broadcast band using both a calibrated Motorola Spectrum Analyzer and a calibrated I.F.R Spectrum Analyzer.
In doing my tests I discovered S9 to 30db over S9 signals in many places though the entire F.M. Broadcast Band. This is completely unacceptable.and a serious violation of Federal laws
In a 20 year career as a broadcasting engineer I have never encountered problems this severe. I would make a guess that the Band Pass (Filtering ) circuit in your transmitter is severely out of tune or has been damaged and improperly repaired.
Please address these issues and see that they are resolved. I feel that every responsible broadcaster should police it's own houI am not generally a person who reports these things to the FCC but given the severity of the problems something needs to be done.
Thak You,
Tim Nixon
