Listener Comments and Reviews
Just to say how grateful to have your station on the air!
A devotee of your service and pleased that Sean Patrick
is back aboard. Hope we did'nt lose Laura though.
By: W. Don Wilkinson on April 21, 2011
Love your station!! I also miss Laura Ingram in the mornings. THANK YOU for bringing Glenn Beck again after a short time a few years ago. I think that his program has made a huge difference in the way we look at politics and the government. America would be in a lot worse shape today if it weren't for him. I wouldn't be a Beck listener if it weren't for your station. I am a teaparty member and I keep up with politics through you. I'm not that into Rusty Humphries. Again I love your station!
By: S.G. Sariti on May 13, 2011
Unfortunately, you no longer offer glenn beck and have replaced him with Ingraham. She's ok but Beck was your star and that's it for me! Don't mean to be rude but it will now be Rush for me and most of my friends during that time period. You did this once before for some reason and you should realize Beck has a very loyal listening base.
Today is Nov 5, 2011. Regards, Roberta Caswell
By: roberta caswell on November 5, 2011
I have tried to adapt to Ingraham, but I just can't do it. What a lineup you had - Beck, Sullivan and Larsen. They got me through the day. Beck was your star and you got rid of him. I will now be switching to Rush in the mornings and probably just stay over there. You have lost a loyal listener and I would guess that I am not the only one!
By: Brian on December 4, 2011
Why do you remove the final hour of Bill Bennett's, Morning in America program, to replace it with the pair of idiots ?
We misssed the conversation with Paul Ryan this morning--hes one of the few intelligent people left in Washington. Nevada needs to hear what these leaders have to say ! What a useless schedule you bring us after 5AM !
By: James Alexander on January 3, 2012
Why on earth did you pick up Coast to Coast? They are the reason I left AM radio at night. Poor choice, I think. Who I really miss is Doug McIntyre, but know you couldn't help losing him. What about Handle on the Law during that time period?
By: Zona on February 19, 2012
It's Tuesday February 20 and I was very pleased to hear over this last weekend that Bill Manders would be joining your station starting today. I am listening to his show as this is being composed. I was also very pleased that you did pick up the Coast To Coast show. I have been a listner to that program for many years, since the early Art Bell days from Pahrump Nevada. Thanks, and keep up with your positive upgrades.
By: Al Morgan on February 21, 2012
Glad you picked up Bill Manders! While annoying sometimes, he is knowledgeable and very informative! He is also a GREAT community activist for us here in Northern Nevada. Been following him since Bakersfield. Good choice Evans group!
By: Carole Seckler on February 23, 2012
I began listening to your station when you brought Coast to Coast on. I have been a C2C listener for nearly 20 years. I was delighted by Dennis Miller. Briefly. I love Laura on my morning commute. I realize Bill Manders has a lot of fans, but I am not one of them. It is nice to hear Rusty Humphries again. Thanks for the thoughtful lineup
By: Joyce on February 25, 2012
PLEASE!!! Put Lars Larson back on in the afternoon. I am glad Bill Manders is back, but not at the expense of Lars in the afternoon!!!!!! Or swith Lars Larson & Tom Sullivan. I can only listen during the day and I miss Lars!
By: Jay on March 5, 2012
Mike Huckabee would be a great addition to your schedule. Head to head against Limbaugh would be outstanding. If not a delay would work. Think about it even if it is owned by Cummulus.
By: Jerry Higgins on April 3, 2012
I'm trying to reach out to Jerry Evans in regards to doing some radio advertising for Sweet Sipping Sunday's in Genoa, NV. We're looking to kick off the event May 6th. Please e-mail or call me at 417-339-9577.
By: Kalyn Pippin on April 10, 2012
On 9/25/12, as I was driving home listening to Bill Manders, he commented about all the prayers happening around this election. I want to share my constant prayer as well. I pray this for Barack Obama. Psalm 109:8 New International Version, "May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership."
By: Deb Moore on September 26, 2012
I would like to see Joe Paggs replace Tom Sullivan's slot with his weekly show. You've been carrying him on Weekend and he and his partner and sharp, entertaining and dead-on in their observations whatever the subject may be. I believe Sullivan is in 'retirement' mode. Thanks Jerry
By: jan gritzmacher on October 8, 2012
Can you please tell me what happened to Laura Ingraham on KKFT during the local 6-9 AM time slot? I enjoy Brian Kilmeade, but I'm just wondering why Laura's apparently been replaced on your station every weekday morning. (Sorry, but I've been burnt out with the past presidential campaign--working in the trenches for Team Nevada here in Carson City--and, am just now getting back into the swing of things with conservative talk radio.) Also, I don't see a listing on the 991FMTalk site for Bill Manders. Is there a reason whey Bill's not listed there (as of December 14, 2012)? Just wondering, that's all. Thanks!
By: Rick J. Radecki on December 14, 2012
I'm so happy Bill Manders is no longer on the air. He was very narsasistic and hardly ever had a good word. He was VERY negitive and NEVER showed any respect for our country's leadership. It does not matter if we like or dislike who is in office, they still demand a certain level of respect. Bill was sounding just the radicals he was complaining about. Thank you 99.1 for sending Bill back to California.
By: Skip Jackson on December 18, 2012
Where is Bill Mandrín?
By: kent on December 19, 2012
Sorry, got his name wrong,Where is Bill Manders?
By: kent on December 19, 2012
Well, the other day we were trying to listen online, but Bill's show wasn't there. Called the station and they said they'd get right on making any needed repair, but we never did get to listen that day. And now he's off the website, but I see no announcements anywhere, not RGJ or TV stations' websites. The most disturbing is that Bill's Facebook account has been deactivated. I hope he's okay and if he's gone from KKFT we will miss him.
By: LorI on December 20, 2012
Well if Bill Manders is gone? So am I. Wont listen to kkft. Bill makes strong points on the topics he covers. Some folks cant keep up? I guess. So long 99.1.
By: Roland Gomes on December 22, 2012
I guess congratulations are in order for Bill Manders going to Fresno to PowerTalk 96.7/1400. Hope all is well there for him at his old stomping grounds. Too bad there was no announcement that he was leaving. I myself will continue to listen to 99.1 both online and on the air. Thanks Jerry for having the locally owned talk station on FM available.
By: Mark on December 24, 2012
why did sean patrick leave your radio station?
By: manard on February 5, 2013
I miss Brian Kilmeade. He was interesting and had good topics. Can't say that for Laura.
By: Beverly Irwin on February 15, 2013
Please replace Joe Pags on Saturday morning. I have tried repeatedly to listen but always turn him off because of his arrogance and rude behavior towards callers. Re-runs of practically anyone (except Andy Dean) would be preferable to this childish dolt.
By: Mark on July 6, 2013
I listen from Arizona on internet radio. I love your station because I listen to Coast to Coast AM every night, and I love conservative talk. I am very pleased to find you have started airing The Wall Street Journal Report every weekday morning. I wake up to your station, and I missed hearing it on my local AM Station. Thank you for that, I hope you keep the Wall Street Journal Report on perminantly, It's a fine broadcast.
By: Betty Grace on September 17, 2013
get an hour of news (wall street journal?) at about 5am-6am every morning!!! bennett, et al do not satisfy in fact, do like kkoh and have a local news/bs kindof show for about 3 hr i do not/refuse to listen to bennett, et al
By: poopie on October 26, 2013
What happened to the Dennis Miller in the morning? I live in washoe valley nevada and listened to 99.1. are should i say I used to listen to 99.1.
By: ron flippen on March 19, 2014
I am so happy to hear less of Dennis Miller lately. He is a great comedian but he has given up as a political talk show host. Rick Roberts is a refreshing change.
By: John Meierer on March 31, 2014
I was getting a little tired of Dennis Miller however, Rick Roberts has me turning the station off for 3 hours. His voice is grating and boring.
By: Amma on April 3, 2014
Rick Roberts is a refreshing change from Dennis Miller. Rick is far more relevant, interesting, and engaging than Miller. Great choice!

By: Charles on May 14, 2014
Rick, Holder is trying to assemble a brown shirt police dept. and it did start with Clinton but you forget that Holder worked in the Clinton justice dept. and Obama restarted it with his civilian army. There is a connection. Take a look on youtube, Obamas Civilian Army, it's a joke. Apparently you didn't want to discuss it this morning so you cut me off and hung up. I just wanted the listeners to call their reps. and ask them not to fund it.

Mark Meckler President of Citizens for Self-Governance and Convention of States to Speak in Reno Town Hall
Learn How Citizen Volunteers Using Article V of the Constitution will re-establish States Rights and Return the Power to the People
Reno, Nevada September 4, 2014 The Air Port Plaza Hotel located on Terminal Way in Reno will host a Town Hall Meeting open to the public on September 4, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Mark Meckler will deliver a 30-45 minute presentation titled: “TIME FOR A RADICAL RESPECTABLE REVOLUTION: AMERICA AT A CONSTITUTIONAL CROSSROADS”. The presentation will be followed by a robust question and answer session.
Our Founding Fathers foresaw the likelihood that the government in Washington, DC might someday become too centralized and overreach the limited powers granted it by the US Constitution.
Citizens for Self-Governance has launched the Convention of States Project to call an Article V convention of the States to propose only amendments that would impose restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.
Join other deeply concerned Nevadans and learn how everyday citizens by contacting our Nevada State Senators and Assemblymen can remind and embolden them that it is their Constitutional right and their Constitutional obligation as our duly elected direct representatives to stand up to Washington overreach through the use of Article V of our United States Constitution.

Hi Jerry....thanks for picking up Joe Paggs M-F. And so happy we middle-class conservatives in Northern Nevada have Rick Roberts representing us. He is awesome!
By: JanE Gritz on November 14, 2014
Listening to Kevin Wall fill in for Rick Roberts. Finally don't have to turn the radio off for 3 hours today! I count the minutes between 9 & noon so I can turn the radio back on and listen to KKFT again. Roberts is so so grating!
By: Amma on December 17, 2014
Don't know if you respond to comments or not but hope you do. My complaint is regarding the weakness of your signal. I work in Truckee in the winter & drive there from Reno most days of the the week. I'm a big Laura Ingraham fan & would love to be able to listen to her all the way up. However, you completely fade out before I even get to Boomtown on I-80 & never really come back the rest of the way. There are other local FM stations I can get all the way with no problem. I've even checked with auto sound companies & they say there is no "fix" on their end. Would also like to listen to Lars Larson on the way home instead of Dan Mason on KOH but "no can do". I don't know if anything can be done but would sure appreciate it if you would look into it.
By: Steve Jackson on December 20, 2014
KKFT could file for a booster that would make their signal listenable in that area. Will they do it? Probably not as that would increase their costs with just a very marginal gain in listenership. I suggest you look into streaming KKFT on your phone or laptop when driving through that area.
By: John on December 20, 2014
I have a old car with a Kenwood deck. I get good reception with it all the way past Truckee. Great now that I go to Roseville and West Sac more. KKFT I've been told, do changes based on listener ratings. Coast to Coast is number 1 in the time slot, and overall, KKFT has gone up in audience while KOH has gone down. One thing about KKFT, it is locally owned, not out of Vegas, LA, Pittsburgh or Atlanta. It's cool to think a local person has control, and is making choices based on local feedback. Love the energy that Kevin Wall is bringing to the 9a-noon time!!!
By: Esteban on February 25, 2015
please keep Roger Hedgecock on from 3 to 6PM and let Lars Larson go somewhere else, anywhere else
By: Bill on March 6, 2015
thank goodness Rick Roberts got canned!!
By: Stella on April 28, 2015
I switched from KOH to 99.1 a long time ago.Generally 99.1 has,or had, a great lineup, but with Roger Hedgecock now gone (retired) the lineup has weakened. I can't stand the new guy, Kevin, liked Rick Roberts 100% more. Roger's replacement is totally boring. Hannity went to some station in Reno and that station is so weak there's no point trying to tune it in unless you live in Reno. The weekends used to run Roger's full Friday show.Thats gone and Beck's gone . summation, after Coast to Coast Friday night the Radio goes off. Suggest to 99.1 that they take steps to improve or KOH could win their listeners back.

OK, I heard some discussion at 2 PM on Tuesday 16 about marijuana.
If you are interested in actual fact I have these.
Fewer cases of prescription drug overdose in those that use marijuana check out Colleen L. Barry, PhD, an associate professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School
for driving check out a study by the U.S. Department of Transportation, National Highway Trafic Safety Administration
"Drug and Alcohol Crash risk"
they found that driving ability is unaffected by marijuana use
Annals of the American Thoracic Society
Investigators at Emory University in Atlanta assessed marijuana smoke exposure and lung health in a large representative sample of US adults age 18 to 59. Researchers reported that cannabis exposure was not associated with FEV1 (forced expiratory volume) decline or deleterious change in spirometric values of small airways disease.
A separate study published in 2012 in The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) similarly reported that cumulative marijuana smoke exposure over a period of up to 7 joint-years (the equivalent of up to one marijuana cigarette per day for seven years) was not associated with adverse effects on pulmonary function.
A 2013 review also published in the Annals of the American Thoracic Society acknowledged that marijuana a smoke exposure was not positively associated with the development of lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, or bullous lung disease. It concluded: “[H]abitual use of marijuana alone does not appear to lead to significant abnormalities in lung function. Findings from a limited number of well-designed epidemiological studies do not suggest an increased risk of either lung or upper airway cancer from light or moderate use. … Overall, the risks of pulmonary complications of regular use of marijuana appear to be relatively small and far lower than those of tobacco smoking.”
Just trying to put some sanity in the conversation with actual science.

I think the Kevin Wall show is lacking. He continues to have this Tarkanian guy on. Can't he make it through the show without a crutch? At least not the same crutch would be nice. Plus, he is in Vegas. He has no idea about us Northern Nevadans. Very boring show.

I heard on the radio this morning that Art Bell is returning on "his terms" at 9:00 pm tonight which is October 13, 2015,
I certainly hope so.... can hardly wait. As much as I like George Noory... there simply is not a replacement for Art Bell.
Furthur more it often bothers me how he created everything that is still used: the bumper music, Ghost to Ghost, unfortuanately many of the original guest speakers have passed away.
Still it also concerned me when suddenly at sign off time no longer were we hearing Art Bell's name. George Noory has also become a little testy at times when some of the callers go to far with the Art Bell comments.... well I will definitely be tuning in tonight to see and hear what the heck is going on... I sure hope what I heard this a. m. is true!! You go Art Bell!!
By: Jan Mc Ewen on October 13, 2015
What a great surprise, Art Bell on your station tonight. Hope we get more of this.
By: SamAtHome on October 14, 2015
Please more Art Bell and a little less Coast to Coast.
By: olivia on October 20, 2015
Please NO Art Bell. He is anti-Christian and continually bashes Christianity. I love your station but will not listen when Art Bell is on.
By: Julie on October 25, 2015
Seriously, you preempted Art Bell for George Snoory?? Snoory has the interviewing chops like sandpaper being used for toilet paper. Absolutely useless. Will buy a shortwave radio so I can bypass this goon.
By: George on November 13, 2015
Bring back Rick Roberts! His replacement cannot complete ONE sentence with out stammering or repeating himself three or four times.
I cannot stand to listen the him any longer.

On Sunday 10/2 Kizzy escaped her crate at an event at Fuji Park in Carson City and fled the park running scared. The dog is from out of state and everything is unfamiliar to her. Owner Cherie Blossfield is devastated and I have set up the fund as a way to help her with the expense of finding her dog, extending her stay in Nevada and missing work to continue searching and to be able to offer a reward to encourage community help
In finding her. Every little bit helps and we appreciate any little bit you can contribute. For many of us dog enthusiasts this is our biggest fear, to lose our beloved dog while traveling, to be in an unfamiliar place and searching for our best companion. A family meeting last night produced this decision .
Myself, my wife, our 4 children and their spouses (10 votes total) will vote for Mr. Trump because we are devoted Republicans.
We however have decided to vote a straight Democrate ticket after that because we feel the Republican Party in NV has deserted us by turning their backs on Mr. Trump.

Just wondering how much longer you are going to continue pre empting Laura Ingram's last hour with Armstrong & Getty. At 8:00 A.M. I turn 99.1 off and it does not come on again until 3:00 P.M. and Lars Larson. Can't bear to listen to those two clowns!
By: Steve Jackson on October 16, 2017
I love Armstrong & Getty. They bring a humorous perspective and lighten the burden of the ridiculousness of our current broken situation. I can get Laura Ingram on Fox. Love her too.

By: Charlotte on April 4, 2018
Laura a source of truth and light. 6 AM to 8 AM now a dead zone. - Can't listen to the yukkers. Sorry, just won't listen to stupidity. - TV's Classic Country works until Rush can be streamed from Reno, Denver, SF or other. Since Howie's morning show comes on at 7 in Tahoe he's OK too. He's about as conservative as radio gets up here. - I trust you can justify your programming decisions to your remaining advertisers.

Keep doing what your doing. I like the way you get the word out good or bad it's done daily and Thank You. I wrote the FCC and asked has the standers changed the main Networks ABC CBS NBC and all the FAKE NEWS going out each day and it is aloud what a shame. I think all our trouble started when the senators slipped in the there is no term limits that's got to change soon for things to change. The show on the Fouth of July was a good one and thanks for doing it.

I was listening to Monica J yesterday, Friday Oct. 18. The subject was regarding religion, civility, and just doing right. I am finishing up two books written by a Rabbi Marvin Antelman, TO ELIMINATE THE OPIATE -- that "opiate" being religion. It's an amazingly detailed history regarding a theological heresy termed "Sabbatianism" after an infamously rogue rabbi who proclaimed himself to be the returning "Messiah" in 1666, Sabbatai Tzevi. He preached that God's Kingdom could be compelled to arrive on Earth if only humanity would become either all good or all bad.
By: Michael O'Neal on October 19, 2019
Monica,
Do you speak on air with the extra long pauses every few words to add dramatic effect to an otherwise incredibly boring show or is it to give your low intellect listener base a chance to follow along and comprehend what you are saying?
Merry Xmas,
JT
By: JT on December 24, 2019
I think Monica Jaye should know that the RPD cops absolutely don’t want to let the homeless live in tents by the river. The 9th circuit court has made the homeless essentially a protected class by saying that you can’t stop people from public camping. They do what they can, but the homeless problem is becoming terrible everywhere and it’s gotten worse because of this ruling, and the Supreme Court has upheld it. The cops are the ones that have to deal with the homeless and it makes their job very difficult. Please don’t blame it on them. It’s not that they don’t care, it’s that cops are not allowed to do their jobs anymore, and it becomes that way more and more all the time. I don’t know about the purpose of getting more funding, but we sure do need more cops. The reason that they can’t go to every call is because there aren’t enough of them.

Hello. I am looking for help for my sister in law. She owns a Deli in Elko and has received a Warning letter from the Elko police Department, accusing her of the unconstitutional Covid-19 restrictions. When she inquired about the warning letter and who complained, the Elko police department said the accusation came from an anonymous tip. So people can just call in and some one gets a warning letter without an interview by police at the place of said violation?!
We are looking for information on any constitutional attorneys. Any help from any of your hosts would be greatly appreciated.

What happened to Tom Sullivan's program today?
By: Mary Strenge on December 3, 2020
I used to listen to this radio station from 6am to 8pm, but it's just careened downhill in 2021 and isn't really the voice of patriotic Nevadans anymore. With a line up of MOSTLY middle to left morons on all day, the sounds of my dogs licking themselves is more tolerable.
Hello I ❤️ radio.
By: Kat on November 1, 2021
