Houston Square and Round Dance Committee will be having their 69th HOUSTON HOEDOWN
Dance October 27-28, 2017, at Moody Gardens Convention Center, Galveston, from 7:45 pm – 10:00 pm.
"Square Dancing is Friendship Set to Music."
NOW…, if you are “wondering” what this type of entertainment and exercise I am referring to, you need to really come and watch as we entertain you with our “Swing your partner”, “Do-Si-Do” ,”Spin Chain the Gears”, and “Ferris Wheel”, with the enthusiasm and entertainment that all square dancers enjoy.
Come and meet new friends. You can make some wonderful friends that you wouldn’t have met otherwise. It’s great exercise mentally and physically and you can travel all over the United States [to dance]. “It’s a clean and fun family-oriented type of activity and entertainment
Texans from as far south as Houston and Galveston to far North Amarillo to East and West Texas will be in town for the dance, including Nora Creed, President of the Texas State Federation of Square and Round Dancers, and of the East Texas SRDA based along with the Executive Board and other Federation officers.
We have square dancer members range from teens to nonagenarians.
Square dancing clubs do offer square and round dance lessons. If you are interested, you may contact visit website “Squarethru.com” or Linda Edwards 713-202-8800 or dance.partners@yahoo.com Also check out their flyer on the website.
