The Blizzard, a Pop Warner Football Team based in Monument, CO, has won the Division III Pee Wee Colorado State Championship! The Blizzard overcame the Loveland Titans at 5 Star Stadium in Thornton, CO on 11/14, with a 6-0 OT win. The Team is comprised of 6th & 7th Graders, from Monument, Colorado Springs, Franktown and Peyton.
The Blizzard had a very successful season and with their win on 11/14, they have earned a trip to Dallas to play for the Southwest Regional Championship. A win in Dallas would send the Team to Walt Disney World in early December to compete for the National Championship. The Team is proud to have a 94.5% average GPA, while many also participate in other sports/activities.
The Monument Blizzard Pee Wee Team is coached by Peyton resident, Sasan Sattari. Assistant Coaches include: Joshua Vasconcellos, Eldrick Hill, Steven Ainsley, Ray Nunn, Timothy Candelaria, Jeffrey Walker, Scott Bradley, Team Medic Jill Bradley and Team Administrator, Kelly Sattari.
