This station has a poor mix of shows. It tries to be a Bloomberg type station but gets many nuts putting in their shows which don't fit Bloomberg's quality of shows.
Also the producers/engineers fail miserably in late afternoon with the linkages between segments, with often 1-2 minutes of silence. Once I had silence over the hour switch of about 15 minutes-

Found your station accidentally this morning! Love it. Have been listening to the wide mix of music I love all day!
By: Pat on March 5, 2017
Great mix of old school, listenable and dance-able tunes. Thanks for a great format. Now how do I stream you when I am traveling?
By: Craig on March 27, 2017
Great program format. Forgotten non-rock vinyl repertoire, space age parental pop, and non cerebral jazz standards. Sounds like that group from Kenosha Twang Shui

Thank you for the wonderful standards I'm hearing! I'm amazed to have a radio station without commercials. It makes my long drivetimes so pleasant. Thank you to whomever is paying for this.
By: Louise on August 26, 2017
I love the music that you play, -just my cup of tea. I drive up and down the coast and out of state now and then. Unfortunately no radio station including the stations in Sirius XM compares to yours. Therefore on my long drives, I listen to my MP3 player.
When will you broadcast on Sattellite radio?
By: Pascual Dinong on September 11, 2017
I stubbled upon your station and love it! Soft smooth and relaxing POOLSIDE MUSIC, not many commercials. Thanks!
By: LARRY on October 2, 2017
One of few AM music stations that I can pick up at home and in our cars. Would listen to it more frequently if majority of songs were 50's-70's gendre, rather than 40''s plus Sinatra/Dean Martin. I'm around 70, but 40's music is even getting old for me! Thanks for your time...DJ.

I have been a long time listener. So glad you are back. I love the music. I also love the current all holiday music selections. I left my radio on all night last night. How great. But, now there is dead air since about 7 am this morning. Please come back. .

Greetings,
I am available for interviews.
The big "GIT" is that after 20 years of analysis, it has been determined that our government, money, trade, markets, wars, political parties, constitution and republic have all been corruption, in such a way, as to transfer wealth and control to governement and global financial elitists, who in turn control governments. I then devised a comprehensive solution set to eliminate this corruption and our enslavement as tax mules, perpetual debtors and state dependents.
I am running for the US Senate. California has a viable third party choice. For Californians, please consider an interview.

I found your station by accident and I absolutely adore it! I am a big fan of the Big Band era and Scat music.
By: GS on March 18, 2018
Your station reminds me of the old KMPC AM Los Angeles. Thank you for playing this music. I keep it on in my house all day long!!
By: Tim on March 20, 2018
Please fix your station. I love the playlist, but it is becoming increasingly hard to enjoy. I don't listen much anymore.
Your technicians appear to be either unwilling or incapable of fixing the difficulties which have plagued your station for
years - e.g., frequent outages which last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. More recently, frequent static
bursts make it impossible to fully enjoy the great music. You are aware of the problem. Again, please fix it or KFSD
will continue to lose listeners. Thank you.

I love this station. I’ve had it on many times but have never heard an advertisement.
Is this a commercial free station ? How do they stay on air without ads ? Certainly not complaining.
By: PK on May 6, 2018
Is 1450 off the air?
By: Frsnk on June 3, 2018
Are you off the air? Terrible news if it is true!
By: Patricia Rakis on June 24, 2018
Let us know if 1450 is off the air. If so, too bad. I shall miss the music.
By: Dorothy on June 24, 2018
Finally, it's ON. I hope it stays on.
By: Dorothy on June 27, 2018

By: Kimberlee on June 28, 2018
Wow!! What great music. Please turn your antenna a little more toward Temecula. We love the music.
By: W.J. on July 9, 2018
Please stay on the air!! What can the listeners do to help???? I leave the radio on even when you vanish!! Hoping these outages stop. Makes me sad .....
By: Kimberlee on July 13, 2018
I found this station by luck a few days ago.. and now I am hooked. Music and words I can understand and sing to. My days are brighter!! Thank you so much!
By: JD on July 26, 2018
Love the music. I wish the station had more power to cover the entire county.
By: Indie Montoya on September 23, 2018
Enjoy the station! Wish titles and artists were announced,.
By: Patricia Tirona on November 1, 2018
So sorry that you are playing non-stop holiday music. I will tune back in in January.
By: Melvin Carrillo on November 18, 2018
Such a great (currently) commercial free station. I listen for hours at work and one time someone even asked me about the music that I was playing. Always like giving the shoutout to AM 1450.
By: Ren on January 30, 2019
Really enjoy your non stop older style music. Was a bit concerned to have you off the air on 3/10-3/11/2019-- but you are back on!
Please, keep it playing.
By: Kathy on March 11, 2019
Is there a playlist?
By: Randal on March 16, 2019
I finally found ideal music programming at the beginning of March 2019. However two times the station is not broadcasting for several days. Is there NEWS for the radio audience to remain informed. PLEASE don't leave. Steve
By: steve miller on March 18, 2019
Oh, as of July 1, 2019, I only hear static. Where are you? Really enjoy your non stop oldies music
By: Kath on July 3, 2019
Why are you off the air so much? I really like your music. Please give me an answer. I tell everyone about your station. Hope to here from you. Norm
By: Norm Case on July 4, 2019
What's up? Nothing but static. Changing stations.
By: Mel Carrillo on July 4, 2019
Oh no! What happened to The Spa 1450-AM, as of July 1, 2019, I only hear static. Where are you? I really enjoy your non stop oldies but goodies hits without commercial ALL DAY LONG. Please, Please, come back!! 4th of July will not be happy without you!

I really miss the SPA! Please come back on the air. You are the best radio station...
By: Chris on July 12, 2019
I've been out of town for several weeks ... I turned on my radio to the Spa (the only station worth listening to) ... nothing but static!! What happened??? Are you coming back on the air?
By: Chris Escondido on July 18, 2019
My favorite radio station. I really miss it. I suspect it has shut down for good. Perhaps an expensive component broke and just not worth fixing. I understand they were trying to sell the station a while back. I don't understand why they didn't sell ad time. I would prefer to have ads and the station rather than lose the station.
By: Ted on July 28, 2019
On July 10, 2019, the FCC accepted the SPA's application to go silent so they could save money as they seek a buyer.
By: Davey on September 27, 2019
Really wish i heard the christmas music i spent some time looking for it, so sad its not around anymore. i hope there was a recommendation for the next station to play the classics.
By: Billy on December 4, 2019
It’s back!! Glad KFSD is back on the air and playing the old standards.
By: Zoot on June 3, 2020
Wow! can't believe it. After all these months your back. Please do not leave again. Cheers
By: Dorothy on June 8, 2020
You were on the air for just three days. It was great! Now you're off again. You don't give us any information as to why you're not broadcasting. LET US KNOW.
By: Dorothy on June 12, 2020
Was so happy to find that you were broadcasting again- told several friends to listen-- and now, you are once again off the air. What's the story w/your station? I will keep trying to listen once you are back on. Till then, it's listening to cd's....
By: Kathy on June 12, 2020
Back on the air once more. I just wonder for how long.
By: Dorothy on June 13, 2020
I have been a long time listener of your fine radio station listening to just the type of music that I love. As I've mentioned in my previous comment, in my opinion, none of the Sirius XM station compares to yours and I still feel that way. I am a long time subscriber to XM Satellite Radio but I only use them when I travel out of your broadcast range. I still have my question of when will you broadcast on XM Radio? I realize there is money involved and many other factors but do you have any plans to broadcast on XM Radio.
Do you also need a technician to keep your broadcast 7 x 24? I have noticed just recently, your station did not broadcast for months. I am retired and have some time to spare to help with your station broadcast. I have had an FCC GROLL license since 1986 and I can help maintain your radio equipment on a volunteer basis to keep your broadcast operating 7 x 24. Email me.

I found this station this morning, and at the ID, they gave the call letters of KSSD. Could not find a website or any information about who owns it. If anybody knows, please post
By: Greg Spraul on July 8, 2020
Accidentally hit the preset on my radio that I just couldn't erase...and there was The Spa!
So happy!
By: Davey on August 4, 2020
Just found your station. LOVE IT! Moved to SD 4 yrs ago from LA, complaining to my son about limited music options. I’m not complaining anymore. Thank YOU!!
By: Victoria on August 15, 2020
So glad to have the SPA back! Great lineup of music. This programming never gets old.
By: David M. on September 3, 2020
Can you please play some Judy Garland, Beatles love songs, and actual old style blues music and famous female blues singers along with all the other great selections. Thank you.
By: James Melotti on September 10, 2020
So looking forward to The Spa's Christmas songs! Such a great collection of songs and instrumentals! I wish The Spa had a Patreon account or another way to donate!
By: Davey on November 12, 2020
I sure hope the good Christmas music comes on soon it’s kind of a tradition to setup a little am radio up and listen the whole season.
By: Billy on November 29, 2020
GREAT that the SPA'S back on the air...and right before Christmas! Professional musician, here, since 1965, and I LOVE the collection and the programing order! BRAVO! Hope it stays on after the New Year begins!
By: Chevy Chevallard on December 3, 2020
First the McRib, now this!
I just turned my radio back on.
The Spa is back!
Frank Sinatra is singing "Santa Claus is coming to town".
Next thing you know they'll cure covid.
Huzzah!
And Thank You.
(p.s. This is a great forum for us listeners, even if no-one at The Spa reads it.)
By: Wil on December 4, 2020
A Christmas Miracle! The SPA's Christmas playlist is incredible...Christmas music you will hear nowhere else!
By: Davey on December 7, 2020
Such a refreshing "glass of water" in a Sahara Desert of other AM stations. Feel-good standards. Great musical accompaniment to my day. Keep it going!
By: Wes on January 15, 2021
Please don't leave us without the music!
Right now The Spa is playing Catholic Radio. Ugh.
STOP!
Bring back Sammy Davis Jr,, Karen Carpenter, Dean Martin, and especially Frank Sinatra! Stuff we all can enjoy.
Please.
By: Wil on March 17, 2021
What happened to my oldies with jazz. Please bring it back. It's the only station I enjoy on radio.
By: Patrick T Thomas on March 29, 2021
The last thing the AM dial needed was more religious and/or conservative talk-radio programming. Disappointed to see that KFSD is now broadcasting Catholic radio. So hard to find music anymore on AM with my old vintage radio sets.
