While listening to KCRX today, Tuesday, 05/06/14, the on air DJ made cynical comments regarding a teen that took his 89 year old Great-Grandmother to his prom. The DJ insinuated that, "Maybe he was a nerd and couldn't get a date!". This young man took his Great-Grandmother to the prom simply because she was unable to attend her own prom so many years ago. His was an act of kindness, respect, and love. The DJ's comments were not funny and in poor taste.
