My husband loves old country and you're station provides it, so I'd like to be able to connect with your station.

This is one of the last community oriented radio stations. I think it is great. I listen every time I'm in Benson, Az. Tell your friends and support the advertisers so the owner can stay in business! It's not like those crappy country stations in Tucson and Sierra Vista.

Small town radio station that actually serves the community. How novel - keep up the good work and hope you can succeed standing up against the big boys in radio. We need more stations like KAVV.

Dear KAVV,
My husband (Colonel, retired) Chris and I (Army Veteran) are on the Ft. Huachuca (Arizona) Military Holiday Ball Committee. Unfortunately, many of our committee members are new and have been unable to secure any donated give-away or raffle items for presentation at the Military Ball on the 4th of December at Starr Pass.
If you have any promotional CDs, Support our Troops items, posters, T-shirts or other items you would like to donate, we would be very appreciative.
Our address is:
Colonel (Retired) Chris and Sue Miller
3686 Plaza de la Rosa
Sierra Vista, AZ 85650
Additionally, if you have any other points of contact at radio stations or other venues who are supporters of the U.S. military, please forward the information to me at: suemiller64@yahoo.com
Thank you for supporting the troops!

The Cave is a great radio station. It is not like the big city stations, it is a little corny and goofy. That is what local radio is suppose to be. I grew up in a small town with only one small radio station, the cave reminds me of that station. We need less powerful big city stations and more local community centered stations. I only pass through Benson about 10 time a year, but every time I come through I put my CD's away and tune to the Cave. STAY ON THE AIR FOREVER!

I have to agree with all the comments about KAVV, except the one by "Cecil the Aardvark", I have no idea what he is talking about. But seriously KAVV ids a great local station. Much better than the stations in Tucson and Sierra Vista. Don't change a thing and If you own a business please consider buying advertising on KAVV so they can stay on the air for a long time.

CRAZY RADIO STATION - DON'T CHANGE A THING -
By: Radio Listener on November 24, 2015
One of the best small town radio stations I have ever listened to. I have worked at small, medium and large stations in the past, and KAVV ranks right up there with the best. If I didn't have another job and lived in the Benson area, I would apply to work for KAVV.

Love this station! The blend of all kinds of music, including some older pop and crossover, is great. I have it on my computer in the office all day long. And what small town radio station isn't at odds with local government? That's the way it should be.

It's a shame that KAVV had to discontinue streaming over the web. I know me and other listened on our computer. But they had to pay royalties to everybody and his brother.

Royalties, intellectual property rights, etc. have gotten out of hand. Many radio stations, especially the small market stations are having a hard time keeping their heads above water. That is why so many of them have gone to an automated format. Yet the artists and composers feel they have the right to squeeze every penny out of the little guys. They don't seem to realize that the stations are giving them free advertising and keeping their name in the public eye. I don't know if writing your congressman will work, probably not because the recording industry has a great deal of influence with the politicians. If anyone has any workable ideas, let everybody know and post it on this web-site.

I guess you have to add "head" after the name of an animal if you want to post something. OK, I'll play that game. If you go on KAVV's website you can read how the owner is complaining that not enough business are buying advertising. Then you read his editorials and letters to the editor in the local paper, you don't have to wonder why nobody is buying adds. In a small town you can't afford to piss off half the town with your editorials. He is so negative about everything. He never has a nice thing to say about anyone. His latest rant is against the local electric company because they threatened to cut off his electricity because he didn't pay the bill. Then he had the audacity to complain that the electric company advertises on other radio stations. Well if the electric company was ever thinking about buying adds on KAVV, the owner just slammed shut and locked the door on that deal.

I hope the horses, cows, pigs, chickens and all the other barnyard animals enjoy the county western music you play. Keep on " Mooing" !

I just moved from the Dallas area to Benson (what a culture shock). KAVV is better than the all the country stations in Dallas I guess it takes small town cowboys to do country right.--------- Thanks KAVV

I moved away from Southern Arizona a long time ago before there was a radio station in Benson. A friend of mine told me about CAVE so when I came back to visit I listened in. WOW what a great station ! If you would move your station to a big city and keep your exact format you would soon be # 1. Not to mention you would make money hand over fist.

Despite all the negative back lash concerning the "PSA" and editorial concerning child pornography, KAVV is really a great station. TheDJ's are great and the music is great.

It is sad that Paul Lotsoff, the owner of KAVV-FM passed away of natural causes while working alone in his station in the wee hours of the morning of October 4th. At times he was contrversial, but he deeply cared about the small town he brought a radio station to. Running a radio station in a small town with limited advertisers is very difficult. Mr. Lotsoff worked tirelessly to keep the station going. The station is currently being sold and I hope the new owners remember the legacy Mr. Lotsoff brought to Benson, Arizona.
