KBQC 88.5 FM Radio Station Information

KBQC is an FM non-commercial radio station broadcasting at 88.5 MHz. The station is licensed to Independence, KS. The station broadcasts Religious programming. KBQC is owned by American Family Association.

June 17, 2017 I was listening to 88.5 about an hour ago. I tuned in as a show was in progress-- a man talking about the recent shooting of legislators, how that has influenced the gun control debate, etc. This man spoke about the current performance of Shakespeare's play "Julius Caesar" in which, he says, the President's character is assassinated "at the end". Did this man ever read the play? The assassination of Julius Caesar takes place very early on, setting the stage for the turmoil that overcomes the assassins. The assassination of the dictator is NOT the point of the play. The result of that assassination is a violent breakdown of social law and order and government. If anything, it is a warning that killing a leader is not the solution to the problems the leader has caused, or seems likely to cause. As this radio speaker said, the tongue has the power of life and death. He should be informed before he uses his, so that he doesn't t spread untruth and further spiritual death. I love listening to 88.5 at 5:00 am while I am drving. My day starts early and it's a great way to start the day! I have not been able to pick the station up this week. Has something changed?

I work in Independence, Kansas, sometimes 88.5 comes in, here lately just static. Miss being able to listen to 88.5
